Sr. Quality Engineer

Objectives: Is responsible to ensure that continuous improvement is made in all Production MEQ Quality Deliverables (e.g.: RPPM, CPPM, IPPM, SPPM, Quality Costs, Customer Product Audits and Warranty) Main Tasks:
- Ensure that customer and internally identified quality issues are resolved using company problem solving methods (8D Report, Problem Solving Document “PSD”, PCAD, Kepner-Tregoe, etc.)
- Preparation of necessary corrective / preventive actions, follow up, verification and release of corrective actions
- Assure that all Quality activities are performed according BOS-, TS 16 949-, ISO 9000 standards and specific customer requirements
- Maintain local Quality System according the requirements of BOS, TS 16 949, ISO 9000
- Develop and maintain BOS Local Level 3 documents based on local conditions and customer specific requirements
- Assure links to BOS Level 1 and Level 2 documents
- Perform internal BOS quality systems audits internal and external in other JC locations together with the Regional BOS Champion / Auditor
- Supervise implementation of Quality Systems (e.g. CAQ, etc.)
- Develop and train plant personnel in application of methodologies and techniques
- A Bachelor´s degree is required (or equivalent experience)
- Specific education and training in Quality disciplines including as a minimum QS9000, Continuous Improvement, Total Quality Management, PPAP, FMEA, Control plans, DOE and SPC are also required
- Candidates may have these requirement waived only by the Advanced Quality Manager (or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years in the Automotive Industry
- Minimum 3 years in Quality area
- Knowledge of the AIAG Quality planning and Control Plan standard, FMEA´s, PPAP´s, Dimensional layouts, gage/fixture design and Performance/Material testing
- Manufacturing Quality system experience and customer communication activities
- Certification in Quality Engineering a plus. QS9000 certified auditor training desirable
- Requirements may be waived based upon work experience
- Fluent English and local language
- Strong ability to cooperate with people of different levels inside/ outside the company and to interact with team to reach team goals and business objectives
- Good Ability to empower others to achieve results through motivation, recognition and performance feedback
- Strong ability to express information in a manner appropriate to different levels of people & to lead negotiations
- Very strong ability to recognize, respond to customer expectations with sense of urgency and even increase expectations
