EHS Specialist


Objectives: To provide and maintain a safe and healthy work environment by implementing and managing environmental, health and safety programs in the company. Work with management in reviewing new process, developing safety protocols, conducting risk assessment, and managing environmental compliance and standard.   Main Tasks:   • Support efforts for proactive improvements in existing and new processes. This includes using risk assessments to drive process improvements, control health, safety, and environmental risks • Support the management of change process to ensure safety is reviewed prior to implementing changes to working practices, facility layout, equipment, personnel, and materials/chemicals • Ensure proper investigation and reporting of all industrial accidents, injuries, or occupational diseases related to environmental aspect, and to determine causes and preventive measures. • Develop environmental, health and safety plans, procedures, and guidelines. • Training employees on proper safety procedures. • Report or review findings from environmental inspection and testing, • Assess and document hazards, risks, and controls in a manner consistent with established procedures and practices of environment, health, and safety. • Ensure that health, safety, and environmental policies are followed • Ensure to protecting people and environment from harm. • Recommend process and product safety features that will reduce employees' exposure to chemical, physical, and biological work hazards. • Conduct or direct testing of air quality, noise, temperature, and/or radiation levels to verify compliance with health and safety regulations. • Conduct environmental safety audit and inspection and recommend corrective action and prevention. • Review compliance of environmental legal requirements and facilitate applicability of the requirements in the plant.     Skills and Abilities: • Leadership and analytical ability • Negotiating skills • Computer literacy • Oral and written command in English • Cost effectiveness • Knowledge of Environmental legal requirements • Knowledge of industrial hygiene • Knowledge of ergonomics • Initiative - Self-starter and motivated.
